E3 – which games will steal my money this year?
2 years ago it was GTA V online. Last year it was Halo MCC. 2015 which Big name big hype game is going to leave me in a disappointed heap of my own tears?
With Ubisoft pushing back The Division to 2016 I really can’t predict which game will be the hype monster under the bed I should be afraid of. Either way I’ll share which games have my attention this year at the biggest gamer expo on the planet.
The Division
This is Ubisoft last chance with me. If this crashes and burns I’ll never buy any future titles from them ever. Hopefully the numerous delays help them get it right.
Halo 5 Guardians
After possibly the worst launch of all time with The Master Chief Collection, 343i really needs to strike gold with Halo 5 Guardians. The story needs to be epic and the Multiplayer needs to reclaim the online competitive shooter throne. Can they achieve such a lofty goal?
Star Wars Battlefront
After great teaser announcement last year I can’t wait for more info and possible Gameplay
Street Fighter V
The other day a ton of preview videos and screen shots were released and wow does SFV look amazing. We should see at least 2 more roster reveals at e3. I will blindly guess Blanka and Ken. Can’t wait to see more from the reigning king of fighting games.
Tony Hawk Pro-Skater 5
Childhood favorites always pull you in and let me tell you I lost my composure when I 1st heard that a new Tony Hawk game was coming. But let’s be real the last couple games weren’t as good as expected and were out shined by the S.K.A.T.E franchise. Can old man Tony kick and push his way back to glory?
Oculus Rift tech
The virtual reality headset that’s supposed to change the gaming world.
Battleborn
Split screen Co-op isn’t quite dead yet and gearbox, makers of the Borderlands franchise, are bringing us a new IP that looks great.
Doom
One of the founding fathers of the FPS genre, DOOM is back! Will it transition well into the new generation of shooters and will the new innovations kill the classic feel?
Mass Effect 4
N7….enough said
New Gears of War???!!!
Xbox One didn’t launch with Master Chief or Marcus Fenix… That’s like Nintendo launching without Mario or Link. With Halo 5 finally coming in the fall will we be seeing a new Gears of War trailer or announcement?
Whatever happens I’m sure I’ll get way too excited over at least one title this next week. The hype beast may well be a surprise out of left field. And that’s what makes e3 so exciting.
