Throwback Thursday: Mega Man X2

My Throwback Thursday (or #tbt for you instagrammers) pick is, one of my personal favorite games of all time; Mega Man X2. I spent COUNTLESS hours as a kid trying to beat this game, man. Then when I FINALLY did, I had the bad ending lol (Fighting against Evil Zero the immediately going to Sigma after? NO. GOOD.)

As I kept playing all the way into adulthood, I got better and better at this game, to the point I obtained all the secrets and could perform the legendary Shoryuken.

Yes, you read that right, the “Shoryuken” from Street Fighter was a move that could be used in this game once you obtained all armor pieces, heart tanks and sub tanks. The best part? It was a One-Hit Kill move on EVERYONE

(For those of you who want to do it the easy way)

Released in North America, in 1995, I’m still playing this game 20 years later (Thanks to my WiiU’s “Virtual Console”).  It even led to the tattoo of Zero’s emblem on my left arm. And for you Mega Man fans who are looking and praying for a new entry in the series, be on the lookout for Mighty No. 9 which releases in September on PS4, XB1 & WiiU with handhelds being added in the near future.
