Bottom of the 9th User Interview: Texas__Ranger21

As we are creeping up on the halfway point of season 1 in our MLB: The Show Bottom of the 9th online franchise, we’ve decided to conduct weekly interviews with current members of the league. For our first interview, I had a nice conversation with Texas__Ranger21, owner of the Brewers, who was featured on our first issue of weekly power rankings.

Josh: So how about we start with your PSN? What team are you in the league? What systems you have & maybe like 3 of your favorite games ever?

Texas__Ranger21: Texas__Ranger21, Brewers, PS4, All MLB games, NBA 2K11 and 2K13, and Modern Warfare 2

J: Okay cool, a sports gamer like myself. Those tend to be the only games that can really hold my attention. Would you say you’re more of a casual gamer, or like an extreme sim style player?

TR: Depends on the situation. When I play I’m very competitive and do what I have to, to win. But not an extremist. I tend to get extremely mad after I lose.

J: How long have you been an online gamer? I usually just tend to play offline. Do you play online more now due to the online franchises?

TR: Depends. I play offline on MLB, online on 2K. But MLB>2K and I really enjoy Madden leagues.

J: Would you say baseball is your favorite sport?

TR: By far.

J: Have you been following the other teams in the league? Any predictions for playoffs or World Series? Maybe some awards predictions?

TR: I think it’s going to be tight in the AL, seems the NL is weaker. I see Rockies coming out from the NL but I see Twins, or Red Sox.

J: If you could choose one person in the entire league to add to your Brewers team right now, that would make you an instant contender, who would you say that is?

TR: Miggy.

J: Are the Brewers your favorite team?

TR: No. Hate them. As a Cardinals fan, I would add a power hitter to their current team in real life to improve their chances of winning a World Series.

J: Oh jeez I hate the Cardinals lmao. Funny you’re playing with the Brewers though.

TR: Who do you like?

J: Dodgers.

TR: Blah! Lol.

J: Lmao that’s how I feel about the Cardinals. what is your current vision for your Brewers team? Have you decided if you’re trying to win now or rebuild yet? Any prospects you’re excited to develop so they can contribute to your team?

TR: Archie Bradley and Yasmany Thomas. I picture myself as a wild card team, or just barely slipping out. I’ve got rid of some age.

J: Yeah that was a great trade for you honestly, because the Brewers farm system was lacking. Bradley & Thomas will be very good for you for years.

TR: It’s garbage lol. I maybe getting Ozuna. And move Thomas to 3rd and get Ramirez out.

J: I like Ozuna a lot. I think he would be a good addition as a power-speed threat next to Gomez. He would also be a good replacement for Braun. What is one question you would ask the next person we interview?

TR: Who are they most impressed with on their team, most disappointed in?

J: How would you answer that question yourself?

TR: Khris Davis is a monster. Jean Segura has been a big disappointment.
