Primetime Players League Power Rankings through Week 14

Slowly but surely, we are winding down to the end of the season, the haves are separating themselves from the have nots, and while some are ready and primed up for a super bowl run, others are already organizing the war room and ordering more phones to get ready for the offseason free agency and Primetime Players League NFL Draft.

That said, myself and the team bring you the Final regular season power rankings this year, but beware; the Primetime Players League playoff preview will soon come!

  1. New Orleans/Goose-Controversy, they have been there. Trades, they don’t mind upheaval. Are they hated? Absolutely, but do they care? Not one bit! The saints just keep marching in and out of stadiums with wins and do not look back! There stats will not wow you but they make plays when needed.
  2. Chicago/TD-Led by the WR Combo, Kevin White and Alshon Jeffery, who have 13 td and 10 td respectively, and a risky trade for Zach Mettenberger has this team humming into the home stretch Jon Bostic 10 ints, 9 tfl, and 70+ tackles leads a young swift defense.
  3. Buffalo/Fla-Sick of Tyrod Taylor’s locker room antics, the Bills traded for veteran Philip Rivers and sit right at the top of the division. OBJ leads an explosive passing attack with 1225 yards and 8 tds. Shady McCoy is an MVP candidate with 1300 total yards 14 tds, Ball hawk defense is top 3 in the league in interceptions.
  4. Seattle/Weav-This team is at the top of the NFC West led by Marshawn Lynch, who is almost 1200 yards rushing. Jimmy Graham is the sole threat in the passing attack but always seem to make big plays. Defense is led by Bobby Wagner who is the heart and soul of a stellar defense. Expect a deep playoff run from the 12th man.
  5. Pittsburgh/JWil-Most prolific offense in the PPL, with likely MVP Big Ben, who has over 4200 passing yards and 35+ TDs. Leveon Bell has over 1400 total offense and this is easily the fastest offense in the lg with Antonio Brown, Sammie Coates, Stefon Diggs, and Vernon Davis in the receiving corps. The defense is the league leader in Interceptions with over 40!
  6. Atlanta/Daryle-Sitting at 2nd place and all but clinched a playoff birth are the Atlanta Falcons. The offense is led by the most unguardable wr on planet earth Julio Jones. Rookie Tevin Coleman will clear 1,000 yards in his rookie year very soon. While on defense, Jordan Babineaux is amongst the league leaders with 12.5 sacks.
  7. Miami/TreDeuce-This team leans on its Defense. 30 sacks as a team to go along with , 33 ints is pretty much all you need to know about them. Lamar Miller has 1300 yards total offense to lead them. This team is looking for respect in the home stretch and make a run at the ring.
  8. Colts/Tunez-For all the Colts issues on defense coming into the season, this group that was maligned coming into the season has rounded into a formidable group. The defense has accounted for 3 defensive TDs and is led by George Iloka. They have proven to play much faster than previously thought as this defense has 50 TFLs. Gio Bernard leads a sometimes pedestrian offense with over 1000 total yards.
  9. Cowboys/Jefe-The cowboys struggled at the beginning of the year but are rounding into a force. The defense has an astounding 71 TFLs, while the offense is led by 985 yards and 9tds for Dez Bryant. A beast of an offensive line has led to 14 rushing tds for Jeremy Hill. Thats production holmes.
  10. Vikings/Bo-Everyone’s favorite owner Bo has constructed Team FSU, but realized to get where he wants to go he had to make a few moves. Out goes Jameis Winston, in steps Marcus Mariota. Out goes Dekoda Watson, in steps Barkevious Mingo. Now the secondary who still goes by the moniker of TEAM FSU has a total of 17 ints combined, the front 7 is as tenacious against the run as anyone, and the offense is flat out Fast Fast Fast.
Broncos/Ozzie-Leaders of the AFC West led by rookie S Robinson Therezie, DE Malik Jackson and rookie LB Shane Ray on defense is insanely fast. The offense is a work in progress as they play musical chairs at QB, but the pickup of Breshaud Perriman is paying dividends.
  11. Rams/Q-If you have ever watched old school Big 10 football, it was called 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Enter the PPL version of that, the St. Louis Rams. This teams Powerful run game will always lead the way on offense, but they have a solid pass game after the pickup of Jordy Nelson. Hey who cares if he was traded for just to make sure you can’t put more than 7 in the box, it works!!! But in the end, this team is led by its defense that is bend don’t break defense, a fearsome front 7. Expect them to address the CB position in the offseason, but they aren’t dead yet, they are in the playoff hunt and not a team you will enjoy playing if they get in.
  12. Bengals/Zach-The most Prolific Passing offense behind Andy Dalton and 2 1000 yards WR and TE combo, TY Hilton and Tyler Eifert. A very interesting group on this team is the offensive line that has only allowed 17 sacks for a QB that has over 4000 passing yards. They are learning how to win games and not lose them, very dangerous team if they get to the playoffs.
  13. Browns/MT- Remember that 3 yards and a cloud of dust statement I made about the Rams earlier? It is the exact same thing here. The RBBC is led by Robert Turbin but also has youngsters Duke Johnson Jr. and David Johnson as well. The defense is the core of this team as they are 2nd in the PPL in INTs and first in Turnover differential led by safeties combo Donte Whitner and Tyshon Gipson.
  14. Titans/Yancey-The surprise of the PPL thus far, don’t look now but the Titans are in playoff contention. Delanie Walker is Mr. Move The Sticks and the only standout on the offense, Perrish Cox and Avery Williamson lead a new look defense that is making timely plays for a young tam.
  15. Lions/Donny-The enigma of the PPL, the Lions can look like world beaters one week and look like the worst team in the league another. Some close losses and big plays given up by a defense I expect to be retooled this offseason have this team clinging to its playoff hopes in the final weeks. While they are never talked about but a key position, P Sam Martin 50.8 avg punt, 14 inside the 20 and really helps that defense in key situations. The key to this team with be playmaking ability, will they have enough at the end of the year?
  16. Chargers- JB-Led by RG3 and Lance Dunbar, this team believes in balance on the offensive side of the ball as they have 3 WR/TE with over 700 yards receiving. Dunbar has over 1000 yards rushing and this team is in the playoff hunt.
  17. Chiefs/DeeJay-Another Surprising team is pretty explosive with Jamaal Charles 1600 total yards 14 tds. Travis Kelce and Alex Smith are as dynamic a passing duo as you will find. On defense, Justin Houston and Allen Bailey combined 19.5 sacks, while its 7 ints for Ron Parker.
  18. Eagles/Adam Michael-Representing Broke Twitter FC, the Eagles are sliding at the wrong time. Things have not been the same since a heartbreaking loss to division rival Dallas. Demarco Murray leads a 1700 yard rushing attack but they have to get something from the QB position in order to take the next step.
  19. Carolina/Hodge-Sitting at .500, this team has young pieces in Devin Funchess from that school up north, and TJ Yeldon from Tuscaloosa Tide. But in the end, this team is Cam Newton or die. This team hasn’t been the same since Cam Newton was injured and it may cost them their playoff spot. Josh Norman continues to be a defensive bright spot with 8 ints.
  20. Houston/Slim-Another .500 team that is in dire need of a franchise QB to take the next step. Nuk Hopkins has 1200+ receiving yards and 9tds, Reggie Bush is a receiving threat out of the backfield but this team all goes back to the QB position
  21. Cardinals/Spanish Savage-The owner that tells really bad jokes that we somehow laugh at swept his arch rival San Francisco Forty Niners as the highlight of this season but has some young pieces moving forward. Alfie Mo 1000 rushing yards and 8 td’s, Pierre Desir and Bradley Fletcher have proved to be formidable with 13 combined ints.
Raiders/Tezzo-The Raiders have had a tough year but vow to be back next season behind a strong offseason and draft. As of right now in Oakland, it is All Latavius Murray all the time and his stats prove he is willing to take that role
  22. New York Jets/Trell-(user submitted, not done by the author of this article, comments made in this portion are not that of the author MT)-Well I have lot to say about this owner, he’s made a lot of questionable moves this year. He had Geno Smith, traded him and then got him back and has done nothing but lose since then. He was a top 10 preseason now he’s one of the worst owners in the PPL. I’m very disappointed and hopeful season 2 will be better.
  23. Tampa Bay/DruDizz-Young and improving, should be better in season two for the young Bucs
  24. New England/Briz-Will the Pats be able to replace the traded franchise Tom Brady, they do still have the Polar Bear known as Gronk, season 2 will be better.
  25. New York Giants/Prophet-Rebuilding year in Gotham City, looking forward to the draft where they have a plethora of picks to cover up some of the liabilities they have on that roster
  26. Baltimore/Shard-Ravens on the market for WR after sending Perriman on his way early, stout defense that needs to find offense. Expect the Ravens to secure a WR or two in the offseason to stretch the field.
  27. San Francisco/Munch-(user submitted review, not done by the author of this article, comments made in this portion are not that of the author MT) Well, this owner has had one bright spot since the season started, and that’s Chris Conley, the speedster from between the hedges in Athens, GA. But besides that he’s been trash as *redacted* since losing again and again. They would have been an underachieving user but he’s not really that good to start.(Sheesh)
  28. Washington/Stevie-Not sure what is going on in Washington DC, but I am sure they want Romo to stick around for another season.
  29. Jacksonville/Shaggy-Team improving needs to figure out the qb position, is Bortles the answer or no?
  30. Green Bay/Spottio-New Owner who is working to get that first win, will be a team to look out for next season as they get comfortable with there playbook and personnel.
