Mortal Kombat X Jason Lives Kombat Kast review

Ok folks,  the moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived. Jason Voorhees has been unleashed on the Mortal Kombat X Universe. Jason is the 1st of 4 characters being released with the Kombat Pack DLC. Yesterday (May 4th) NetherRealm had a great Kombat Kast Twitch stream showing off all that Jason is bringing the the gruesome blood bath that is Mortal Kombat X.

Just like all the main roster fighters, Jason has 3 variations to choose from that really change how he plays. The Slasher variation has him bring along his iconic machete from the Friday the 13th movies. The machete gives Jason tons of range and a projectile as he can hurl it full screen. The Relentless variation gives Jason a creepy teleport were he just walks out of the foggy mist appearing behind the opponent. If that wasn’t enough, he has a move called pursuit that turns the screen red and flips around the opponents controls (up is down, left is right ect…). Finally there’s the Unstoppable variation that allows Jason to activate a brief moment where he regenerates health and another that boost his damage output. More importantly,  this variation will be brought back to life after has been depleted depending on how much meter he has. This my friends is epic to see. Jason is fantastically done and this is coming from someone who typically is against guest characters in fighters.

Jason wasn’t the only news for this stream. Ed Boon confirmed lots of improvements coming to the game to improve the online experience. For example, we will be getting the option to skip a ranked match if the connection is below the green optimal performance level. Also the Mortal Kombat X mobile game is finally released on Android devices.
